Fixing a WordPress Site's Layout Without Rewriting Its Custom Elementor-Based Theme

The layout did not match the custom theme, and rewriting the theme was not an option. Now, The Beauty Insighter website runs without errors, the team updates it without a developer, and the catalog and newsletter help collect contact details.

A beauty analytics company with a website that did not match its own theme

The Beauty Insighter is a marketing company specializing in beauty industry trend analysis. It provides analytical insights based on verified market data, global market sizes, and long-term CAGR forecasts, helping companies anticipate changes and make strategic decisions.

The company’s website was built on a custom WordPress theme with Elementor, but the layout did not align with the theme’s components, causing pages to display incorrectly. There was no product catalog, so the company could not showcase its analytics products on the website. There was also no way to collect contact details from interested visitors. The client needed a website that presented its products professionally, allowed the team to update content independently, and offered registration and newsletter subscriptions.

Created components that let the client’s team edit content without a developer.

Layout errors, no catalog, and a theme that could not be modified

For The Beauty Insighter, the website directly affects lead generation and how the brand is perceived in the market. With the layout misaligned with the theme and no products displayed on the site, it served no purpose. The client’s main requirement was to make all changes within the existing theme and its Elementor components, without altering the underlying architecture.

A layout that did not match the theme

The layout did not align with the custom Elementor components, causing pages to display incorrectly.

Products with nowhere to be showcased

The website had no catalog where visitors could browse analytics products and leave reviews.

Visitors who left without sharing their contact details

The website lacked registration with access to gated content and a newsletter subscription form.

Fixes within the theme, editing without a developer, and gated content

Since the theme’s architecture could not be changed, we decided to work with its existing components: we fixed discrepancies between the layout and the custom Elementor components and implemented the design within them.

The client’s team updates the website’s content, rather than developers. To support this, we built custom WYSIWYG components: a team member opens a page in the editor and changes text or a block exactly as it will appear to visitors.

We added a catalog of analytics materials that visitors can download and review. Registration unlocks access to gated materials, and a newsletter subscription form is available alongside it. Together, these features give the client contact details for people interested in its analytics and a way to stay in touch with them.

Keeping the theme unchanged and enabling independent editing: how we met both requirements

1. The biggest engineering challenge

We had to meet two requirements. The layout needed to fit into the theme’s existing Elementor components without changing its structure. At the same time, the pages had to remain editable by the client’s team. This meant everything on a page had to use either the theme’s components or our WYSIWYG components, allowing any change to be made in the editor.

2. Custom solutions

  • WYSIWYG components for editing content without a developer.

  • User registration that unlocks access to gated materials.

  • A newsletter subscription that collects contact details in one place.

What the client gained

The theme’s architecture stayed the same, but the pages now align with its components and display without errors. The client did not have to abandon the theme it had already invested in, and new pages and updates now fit within the same Elementor components.

The Beauty Insighter team updates text, blocks, and materials independently through WYSIWYG components. Adding a new report or changing a product description requires no developer, so there is no need to wait for one.

The analytics products finally have a dedicated showcase: visitors can browse, download, and review them in the catalog. Registration unlocks access to gated materials, and newsletter subscriptions provide a way to stay in touch with people interested in the company’s analytics. The client now has tools to collect potential customers’ contact details, rather than simply showing them products.

Since September 2025, we have continued to support and improve the website alongside the client’s team.
